Honey Harbour Public School (HHPS) was built in 1961 after island schools closed. Students went to the nearby separate school until Russ Birch and Tom Hewitt spearheaded the building of the new school in 1961. In September of 2017, HHPS moved to a new location equipped with a library, gymnasium, and more classroom space.
